Series: Everything In Its Time

In this series, I play with intuitive shapes and lines to create compositions distilled down to elemental forms and colors. I paint every paper that I use and shape forms by tearing paper and slicing it with a simple razor blade—no scissors. In these collages, I particularly love the juxtaposition of clean, clear forms against the raggedy imperfection of simple white rag paper. 

 

Pieces are mounted and framed with raised custom mats to highlight the handmade 100% cotton rag paper with deckled edges and rough texture from felts used in the paper-making process.
